How Long Does CBD Stay in Your System?

At Nature’s Ultra, we know that a lot of people have questions about CBD and how it can impact their lives. And there’s nothing we love more than tackling those questions and helping people understand how CBD works!

One of the most common questions that we receive here at Nature’s Ultra focuses on how long CBD lasts in your body. That’s why in this article, we’ll discuss how long CBD stays in your system, how long it takes to work, and whether or not it will show up on a drug test!

How Long Does CBD Last?

The question of how long CBD will last in your system may sound like a simple one, but it’s actually a little complicated! Every person is unique, so there isn’t an exact amount of time that CBD lasts in everyone’s system. The type of CBD oil that you use, the way that you take it, the amount that you take, your history of CBD usage, your body weight, and other factors can all impact how long it will stay in your system. Typically, however, most people can expect that CBD will linger in their system for at least a few days, while others may have it in their system for a week or more.

It’s important to note that while CBD may stick around in your system for a few days, its effects will not. While the length of the effects will vary from person to person based on factors including body weight and prior CBD usage, you can expect the effects to last for a few hours rather than a few days.

How Long Does CBD Take to Work?

Just as the length of time that CBD lasts varies from person to person, the amount of time that it takes to work also varies. The amount and concentration of the CBD oil that you use and how your unique body responds to CBD can impact how quickly it affects you. Let’s use Nature’s Ultra CBD oils as an example. All of our products are available in different strengths, which means the concentration is higher or lower depending on which strength you choose. Some people will experience the results they’re looking for at a lower strength, while others will experience them at a higher strength. It’s important to find the one that works best for you!

If you’re just barely starting to use CBD for the first time and you don’t feel like you’re experiencing any results, make sure you give it a little time! It may take a couple of weeks of consistent CBD usage before you start noticing a difference in your day-to-day life. Be patient and allow your body some time to adapt to the CBD, and you may find the results you’re looking for!

Will CBD Show Up On a Drug Test?

There are a lot of people who are most interested in how long CBD will last in their system because they’re worried about drug testing. And we completely understand! Any time you’re using a new product, especially one that is sourced from the same family of plants as marijuana, it’s natural to want to know if it will affect drug tests. So let’s get into it!

To know whether or not CBD will show up on a drug test, it’s important to understand how drug tests work in the first place. Most drug tests are urine tests. They test for cannabinoids, but generally speaking, they aren’t looking for CBD. They’re looking for THC. THC is the psychoactive compound of the cannabis plant, and it’s responsible for the euphoric side effects that are sometimes associated with cannabis. If the test detects a certain threshold of THC in your urine, you will test positive for cannabinoids. That’s why it’s so important to understand exactly what your CBD oil contains.

There are three basic types of CBD: full spectrum CBD, broad spectrum CBD, and CBD isolate. Full spectrum CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant with all of the other compounds in the plant, including THC, essential oils, and terpenes. Its THC content puts you at risk of testing positive on a drug test. Broad spectrum CBD is extracted from the cannabis plant with most of the other compounds, and may contain little to no THC, so it’s a safer option. You do, however, have to be confident that the company you’re purchasing from is completely accurate when they say it contains no THC or again you will be at risk of a positive result. CBD isolate is the most pure form of CBD, as it’s completely isolated from any other compounds of the plant. That means it contains no THC.

At Nature’s Ultra, we’re dedicated to creating high-quality CBD oils with 0% THC. That’s why we start with high-quality CBD isolate, which is cultivated on our partner farm in Colorado where we use organic and sustainable farming practices. We then combine it with world-class essential oils from Young Living to create our very own Smart Spectrum CBD. And we’re not satisfied there! All of our products go through our rigorous quality assurance system, where we test multiple times to ensure that our CBD is pure, potent, and free from THC and any compounds that could be harmful.

We know how important it is to know what your CBD contains, so we’re transparent with our testing! You can see the lab results not just for our CBD as a whole, but for your individual batch of product by visiting our product verification page here. Just select your product and then choose the file that matches the batch number on the bottom of the bottle to find your specific product test results. With Nature’s Ultra, you can rest easy knowing that you’re using high-quality CBD oil that contains 0% THC!
